Air J is a Belgian drum & bass artist who discovered the genre at the age of 16 and has spent 25 years exploring its darkest and most intense facets.

Driven by a passion for the raw energy of reworked breaks, his music draws inspiration from Amen Breaks as well as the harshness of hardcore and techno sounds. The productions combine sharp rhythms with hypnotic leads, creating an atmosphere where apocalyptic moods meet immersive tension.

After several years of inactivity due to professional commitments, he returned with the solo track Kick Snare Insane and the collaboration Blinded with Peter Kurten and The 3Eyed, released on June 30, 2025, via Future Sickness Records. These tracks mark a significant step in his journey, announcing a series of even darker and more visceral creations. Since the comeback, he has been active in solo projects and collaborations with artists such as Section 63, Alex Phylasys, Kryzys, The 3Eyed, and Peter Kurten, with whom he shares a strong creative synergy. Their combined influences result in powerful, dynamic productions, each track reflecting their shared musical identity.

He has performed alongside iconic drum & bass DJs and producers across Europe and Belgium. With releases on multiple labels, past and present, including Future Sickness, Therapy Sessions, Evil Beats, Darkstep|Implantant, ZooBass, and Mortalic,… He continues to expand his musical horizon while remaining true to the most extreme essence of drum & bass.
